Welcome to the Dundee Licensed Trade Association (DLTA) web site.

As President of DLTA, I thought that I should introduce myself.  I started in the licensed trade in 1960 working with George Younger & Sons Limited and have worked in many posts both on the brewery side and the pub side.  I am currently the licensee of the Arctic bar and bring 45 years licensed trade experience to this office.

Since 1863, DLTA has been working for the benefit of licensed traders in Dundee and with over one hundred pubs now members, we now represent the majority of Dundee pub licensees. 

For licensees, membership of DLTA is essential, as licensing boards throughout Scotland now recommend and expect applicants to be members.

DLTA Directors assist members free of charge with most difficulties which may arise from running licensed premises.  Benefits include a free licence renewal scheme and free legal advice. In addition to being the voice of the pub, hotel and restaurant sector in Dundee, DLTA organises sponsored social occasions for which its members enjoy priority ticket allocation.

I am looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead of us in the licensed trade over the next few years and feel that with the assistance of DLTA, all members should feel supported and will benefit from being a member.
